As a Tax Team Leader, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end tax compliance across our North LatAm cluster, primarily Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. You will oversee tax filings, coordinate with external advisors, manage tax authority interactions, and drive compliance controls while supporting the continued growth of Rapyd’s fintech operations across the region.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual tax filings (CIT, VAT, WHT, and municipal taxes) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review and coordinate work performed by external tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance controls and filing documentation are maintained.
• Lead responses to tax audits, inquiries, and regulatory requests.
• Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders across Finance, Product, and Operations.
• Monitor tax law changes and regulatory developments.
• Lead and develop the regional tax team.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years of tax compliance experience, including 3+ years in a Big 4 firm or multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of Colombian tax regulations.
• Experience with Mexico, Peru, or Panama tax compliance is an advantage.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• FinTech, payments, or financial services experience preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and multi-jurisdiction coordination skills.
