Project Manager – Commercial Flooring Construction | Wood Dale, IL

🚧 Join a growing, privately owned commercial flooring construction company in Wood Dale, IL! My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to run sizable commercial projects, build lasting client relationships, and grow with us.

💰 $90,000–$110,000/year (DOE) + Bonus

📍 Wood Dale, IL

What You'll Do:

🔹 Manage commercial floorcovering projects end-to-end — from award through completion, on time and on budget

🔹 Carry ~10 active projects at a time, ranging from $50K to $2M

🔹 Oversee bid pricing packages (labor, materials, scope) to protect profitability

🔹 Serve as the primary point of contact for major commercial clients

🔹 Drive business development — grow your book of business and win new opportunities

🔹 Lead contract negotiations and pricing

🔹 Coordinate estimators, project managers, installers, and warehouse teams

🔹 Manage project docs (submittals, RFIs, change orders, closeout) and monitor budgets/schedules

🔹 Visit job sites and mentor junior PM staff

What You'll Need:

✅4+ years of commercial construction project management experience

✅ Background as a Commercial Construction PM (open to related titles)

✅ Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred — equivalent experience considered

✅ Commercial industry experience required (flooring a plus, not required — adjacent trades welcome!)

✅ Established Chicago-market relationships (clients, GCs, property managers) highly valued

✅ Strong software proficiency, including MS Office; ability to learn new PM systems on the job
