Senior Real Estate Listing Agent with interest in Ownership

Our client is an established, relationship-driven residential real estate brokerage specializing in luxury homes throughout the Cary and surrounding Wake County markets. The firm has generated more than $1 million in annual revenue for each of the past four years and operates with a small, collaborative team supported by dedicated administrative and remote resources.

About the Role

The current Broker/Owner is preparing to transition out of daily production and is seeking a driven Senior Listing Agent who can preserve the firm’s reputation, continue its legacy, and eventually assume team leadership and potential ownership of the business. This is a hybrid opportunity with flexible scheduling, including an initial six-month period onsite Monday through Friday from noon to 4:00 p.m. for lead generation and follow-up, with weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary listing agent and personally generate, win, and close residential real estate business.
  • Respond to and convert leads from the company database, referrals, repeat clients, internet marketing, and direct-mail campaigns.
  • Develop customized listing strategies, conduct client consultations, negotiate offers, and manage relationships through closing.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships within the firm’s 25-year client database, which generates approximately 50% of the company’s business.
  • Protect and strengthen the established local brand through polished communication, sound judgment, and exceptional client service.
  • Collaborate with the buyer specialist, administrative team, and remote support resources.
  • Utilize Brivity CRM and other lead-management tools to track opportunities, follow up consistently, and maintain accurate client information.
  • Gradually assume responsibility for team leadership, business operations, strategic decision-making, and ownership-related activities.
  • Help develop and execute plans to grow the business while maintaining the culture and service standards established by the current owner.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina real estate license.
  • At least four years of successful residential real estate sales experience.
  • Minimum of 100 closed real estate transactions.
  • Proven success winning, managing, and closing residential listings.

Required Skills

  • Strong sales, communication, follow-up, negotiation, and client relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to convert leads from a long-standing database, referrals, repeat clients, and new business development efforts.

  • Willingness to work onsite during the initial six-month transition period and maintain flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
