Estimator - Civil Construction & Sports Facilities

Location: Kansas City Area (Onsite)

Salary: $80,000 - $125,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join a growing construction organization specializing in athletic facilities, sports fields, golf course development, and large-scale earthwork projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects ranging from $1M to $12M across the United States, supporting both preconstruction and bid development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction, earthwork, and sports facility projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project specifications
• Review plans, drawings, and bid documents
• Develop pricing and proposals for commercial construction opportunities
• Research project requirements and scope details
• Maintain and update estimating data within Sage and Procore
• Support preconstruction meetings and bid presentations
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and company leadership throughout the estimating process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field OR
• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience
• Experience reviewing bid packages, performing takeoffs, and developing project pricing
• Understanding of civil construction, earthwork, grading, excavation, or site development
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Travel:

• Approximately 25-30% travel for pre-bid meetings, site visits, and preconstruction activities
• Primarily day trips with limited overnight travel
