Senior Data & Business Intelligence Engineer / Senior Business Intelligence Engineer |

Long-Term Offshore for a US company

Location/Schedule: This is a remote position. During onboarding and the initial 90-day ramp-up period, you'll need to work approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST. After ramp-up, there can be more flexibility with your work hours.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to take ownership of a company's data environment from end to end. This is a highly technical role combining Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, data visualization, automation, and AI enablement.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work comfortably on both sides of the equation: building and maintaining reliable data pipelines while also turning that data into dashboards and reporting that business teams can actually use.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP, especially BigQuery and related cloud services.
  • Strong Python skills, particularly for ETL and data pipeline development.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong Tableau experience, including building dashboards from scratch.
  • Experience owning or maintaining data and reporting environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across data pipelines and reporting systems.
  • Solid understanding of how data moves between different systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools regularly in your work.
  • A technically strong, analytical, curious, and highly accountable approach.

What You'll Do:

Data Engineering

  • Own and maintain data pipelines and GCP infrastructure.
  • Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Run.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based ETL processes.
  • Build data pipelines and integrate new data sources into the data warehouse.
  • Automate recurring workflows and processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline performance and reliability.
  • Maintain data quality and organization across the analytics environment.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Build Tableau dashboards from the ground up.
  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and reporting.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards and analytics.
  • Manage SQL, data connections, refresh schedules, and quality control.
  • Troubleshoot reporting and visualization issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Business Operations, Finance, People & Talent, Sales, and IT.
  • Help teams understand what their data is telling them and turn insights into better decisions.

AI & Automation

  • Leverage AI tools as part of your everyday technical workflow.
  • Help expand the use of AI, automation, and pre-built solutions throughout the data environment.
  • Look for opportunities to reduce manual coding and repetitive processes through intelligent automation.

Benefits:

  • 10 PTO days - no other benefits offered

Why Join This Team

This is an opportunity to own a critical function rather than simply contribute to one. You'll have meaningful ownership over how data is collected, structured, automated, visualized, and ultimately used across the organization.

Your work will directly influence how teams operate and make decisions, while giving you the opportunity to shape the future of the company's data environment through cloud technology, automation, AI, and business intelligence.

You'll work across teams, have real visibility into the impact of your work, and become the technical owner helping turn data into a true business asset.
