Business Development Manager – Corporate Events & Live Production

Austin, TX CANDIDATES ONLY | Remote + Travel

$80,000–$90,000 Base + Uncapped Commission

We’re partnering with a growing national live event production company looking for a true Business Development hunter to expand its presence throughout the Austin/Texas market.

This is not a role where you wait for leads to come in. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys networking, prospecting, opening doors, and building relationships from the ground up.

If you know the corporate events world, have a strong network, and get excited about building your own book of business, this could be a great opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, LinkedIn, industry events, and your existing relationships
  • Build and manage your own pipeline of corporate event opportunities
  • Develop relationships with corporate meeting planners, agencies, event professionals, venues, DMCs, and other industry partners
  • Sell solutions for corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, product launches, experiential events, and other live productions
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Partner with an experienced internal production team to develop solutions for clients
  • Grow new relationships into long-term, repeat accounts

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B business development or event sales experience
  • Proven ability to hunt and generate your own business
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and proactive prospecting
  • Strong networker who enjoys getting out into the market and meeting people
  • Experience within corporate events, live production, AV, experiential marketing, trade shows, exhibits, DMCs, hospitality, or a closely related industry
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with a high level of autonomy

Compensation & Location

  • $80K–$90K base salary
  • Uncapped commission
  • Remote-based in the Austin, TX market
  • Travel for client meetings, networking, industry events, and live events as needed

This is a great opportunity for someone who already knows the events space but wants the freedom to build their own market, leverage their network, and be rewarded for the business they bring in.
