The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established independent insurance organization seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join its growing High-Net-Worth/Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships and providing a truly high-touch level of service. You will manage an established book of affluent and high-net-worth clients with complex personal insurance needs while working closely with producers, underwriters, carriers, and a collaborative internal team.
This is not a call-center or transactional Personal Lines position. We are looking for someone who understands the expectations that come with serving affluent clientele and can confidently manage complex accounts with urgency, professionalism, and attention to detail.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage a multi-state book of approximately 500–600 High-Net-Worth Personal Lines households, many with multiple policies.
- Provide concierge-level service to affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Handle policy servicing, endorsements, renewals, coverage reviews, billing questions, and carrier follow-up.
- Proactively review accounts and identify remarketing opportunities.
- Analyze coverage needs and help ensure clients are appropriately protected as their circumstances evolve.
- Manage complex Personal Lines risks including homes, automobiles, umbrella/excess, flood, collections, yachts, and other specialty exposures.
- Coordinate closely with producers, underwriters, carriers, and internal team members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation within the agency management system.
- Build strong client relationships focused on responsiveness, trust, retention, and long-term service.
- Balance a high-volume book while maintaining accuracy and a polished client experience.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of substantial, hands-on High-Net-Worth Personal Lines account management experience required.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required; candidates licensed in another state may be considered with the ability to obtain New Jersey licensing.
- Strong knowledge of Personal Property & Casualty coverage and underwriting.
- Experience managing endorsements, renewals, remarketing, coverage reviews, and ongoing policy servicing.
- Previous experience directly owning and managing a book of business.
- Ability to confidently communicate with affluent clientele and deliver a high-touch service experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive client needs.
- Independent agency or brokerage experience strongly preferred.
- AMS360 experience is preferred.
Why Join?
You'll be joining a collaborative, team-oriented organization that combines the resources and stability of a larger insurance organization with the close-knit feel of a regional office.
The team places a strong emphasis on responsiveness, accuracy, trust, collaboration, and long-term client relationships. For someone who enjoys Private Client insurance and wants to continue developing within the High-Net-Worth space, there is also potential for advancement into senior account management and broader Private Client responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- $55,000–$75,000 base salary, based on experience
- Division and company-wide growth bonus opportunities
- Hybrid work schedule
- Multiple medical plan options with employer contributions toward premiums
- Dental and vision insurance options
- Company-paid basic life insurance
- Short-Term and Long-Term Disability options
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Paid Time Off
- Paid holidays + 2 floating holidays
- HSA/FSA options
- Employee Assistance Program
- Additional voluntary benefits including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, legal services, identity protection, and more
If you are an experienced Personal Lines professional who understands the complexity and service expectations of High-Net-Worth clients and wants to join a collaborative organization where relationships matter, we would love to connect!
