Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Construction

Location: Nashville, TN

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Salary: Up to $140,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + 100% Paid Medical (including family!)

Travel: Local projects generally within 60 miles of Nashville; no overnight travel

About the Opportunity

An established commercial and industrial electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing construction team in Nashville.

This is a true boots-on-the-ground Project Manager opportunity. You won't be sitting behind a desk managing projects from a distance. You'll be visible in the field, building relationships with electricians, foremen, general contractors, owners, and vendors while maintaining full accountability for project financial performance.

You'll manage commercial electrical projects ranging from approximately $3M–$10M, with responsibility from award through closeout. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning budgets, forecasting, change orders, customer relationships, and project execution while working within a structured and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage commercial electrical construction projects from award through closeout
  • Independently oversee projects typically valued between $3M and $10M
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and estimate-to-complete reporting
  • Monitor project financial performance and profitability
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage change orders
  • Maintain strong relationships with GCs, owners, vendors, and customers
  • Coordinate closely with electricians, foremen, field leadership, and project accountants
  • Conduct regular job-site visits and maintain a strong field presence
  • Manage project documentation and scheduling
  • Lead project teams and collaborate with internal leadership
  • Participate in weekly project meetings, monthly financial reviews, milestone reviews, and controller meetings
  • Remain responsive to field personnel and project needs throughout execution

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of Commercial Electrical construction Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from start to finish
  • Experience managing projects in the $3M–$10M range
  • Strong budget management and financial forecasting skills
  • Experience with estimate-to-complete reporting
  • Strong change-order management experience
  • Excellent GC, owner, and customer relationship skills
  • Strong communication, organization, and accountability
  • Comfortable working directly with field personnel and project accountants
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Equivalent industry experience will be considered

Compensation & Career Opportunity

  • $120,000–$140,000 base salary
