Operations Manager – Manufacturing

Portland, OR | Onsite

$125,000–$140,000 + Bonus

Well established manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Operations Manager to lead a high-volume, multi-shift operation in the Portland area.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to take ownership of an operation, build meaningful KPIs, use data to drive decisions, and create accountability across multiple departments. The ideal candidate comes from a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similarly regulated operational environment and has a strong track record of improving performance through measurable processes.

What You’ll Focus On:

  • Develop, implement, and manage KPIs around productivity, throughput, labor efficiency, quality, safety, equipment utilization, inventory, and overall operational performance
  • Establish performance targets and use data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple departments and shifts
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, cost control, and profitability
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, expense management, margins, and P&L performance
  • Develop operational plans and forecasts to support both immediate and long-term business goals
  • Partner with supervisors and department leaders to create accountability and improve team performance
  • Ensure production schedules, staffing, equipment availability, and operational priorities remain aligned
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance within a regulated operating environment
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action initiatives
  • Build standardized processes and reporting tools that give leadership clear visibility into operational performance
  • Develop, coach, and mentor leaders while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, or a similar environment
  • Experience leading a multi-department operation
  • Demonstrated experience developing KPIs (non established)
  • Strong P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management experience
  • Experience using operational data to drive measurable improvements
  • Strong understanding of EHS, regulatory compliance, audits, and production quality standards
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving organizational change
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Bachelor’s degree
