Plant Manager

Portland, OR Area | $120,000–$140,000 Base Salary + Bonus | Onsite

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is a well-established organization operating a large-scale industrial facility in the Portland area. The company has a strong reputation for operational excellence, customer service, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the facility's day-to-day operations and lead the organization toward continued growth, efficiency, and profitability.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position for an individual who enjoys being actively involved in the operation, developing teams, solving problems, and driving measurable results.

The ideal candidate will bring experience leading a manufacturing, industrial, processing, or other complex operational environment. Direct experience within the company's specific industry is not required for the right operational leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide overall leadership for a multi-shift industrial operation

• Establish and monitor operational goals, KPIs, budgets, and performance targets

• Lead and develop supervisors, team leads, specialists, and production personnel

• Oversee production schedules, staffing, workflow, and operational efficiency

• Manage plant P&L, budgets, expenses, margins, and profitability

• Develop short- and long-term operational forecasts and improvement plans

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and profitability

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, and applicable regulatory requirements

• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture

• Partner with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met

• Monitor equipment, processes, and overall facility performance

• Maintain a highly visible presence on the production floor

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial operations, processing, or a related environment

• Experience managing multiple departments and/or shifts

• Proven P&L and budget management experience

• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring KPIs

• Strong understanding of operational efficiency and continuous improvement

• Experience with safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, or a related field

• Strong communication and people-management skills

• Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to work effectively at both the management and frontline levels

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $120,000–$140,000 base salary, depending on experience
