Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare estimates and bids for federal, state, and commercial projects ranging from $100K to $7M.
The ideal candidate will have design-build experience, strong knowledge of construction divisions, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents
- Prepare labor, material, and equipment estimates
- Prepare and submit competitive bids
- Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Level bids and verify scope and cost accuracy
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Assist with value engineering and project handoff
- Maintain estimating and historical cost information
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial and/or government estimating experience
- Design-build experience required
- Strong knowledge of construction divisions, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
- Engineering background preferred
Preferred: Sage Timberline, Primavera, and Bluebeam experience.
