Operations Manager – Automotive Title & Lien Operations

Dallas, TX (Hybrid — onsite 1 day per week after initial training period)

OVERVIEW

A growing technology company is seeking an Operations Manager with hands-on automotive title, lien release, or loan payoff experience to lead day-to-day operations and the support function, reporting directly to executive leadership.

This role is built for someone who has knowledge in title paperwork, lien release, or a title/DMV process at a dealership, dealership group, or auto auction, and is ready to run that process rather than execute it. The position translates real-world knowledge of how title and payoff work in the field into a company that is automating that process nationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and manages the operations and support team, owning workload, queue health, and recurring title/payoff-related issues
  • Applies knowledge of title, lien release, and loan payoff processes to identify gaps between how the software works and how dealers/lenders actually operate
  • Collaborates closely with product, sales, and engineering leadership
  • Prioritizes and coordinates cross-functional work without spreading the team too thin
  • Operates independently and proactively flags needs before they become problems

COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • Base salary $110,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience
  • Quarterly performance-based bonus pool, already budgeted and paid out company-wide
  • Full-time, direct-hire position, 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling
  • Hybrid schedule: onsite training period, transitioning to 1 day per week in-office
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Leadership team that has kept turnover remarkably low — fewer than 3 departures company-wide in over 6 years!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Required: 5+ years of hands-on experience in automotive title processing, lien release, or loan payoff — dealership title clerk/coordinator, dealership-group title operations, or auction/lender title department background all qualify
  • Prior experience managing a team or owning a process end-to-end, even without a formal "manager" title
  • Comfort operating inside modern business and operations software platforms; technically fluent
  • Proven ability to identify process gaps and implement solutions independently, with minimal oversight
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • SaaS or startup experience is a plus, not a requirement

This is a hybrid position and is not eligible for fully remote work. Candidates must be able to work onsite in the Dallas, TX area as required. This employer does not offer visa sponsorship for this role; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
