Operations Manager – FinTech

Dallas, TX (Hybrid — onsite 1 day per week after initial training period)

OVERVIEW

A fast-growing fintech company building critical infrastructure for the automotive finance industry is looking for an Operations Manager to lead its day-to-day operations and customer support function, reporting directly to the COO. This Series A-backed startup recently closed a $10M raise and is scaling fast, offering a genuine path to a director-level and eventually C-level seat as the company grows.

The Operations Manager owns the operations and support team, closes the gaps between software systems and the people who use them, and acts as the connective link between sales, engineering, and product. The ideal candidate spots a broken process and fixes it before others even notice!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and manages the operations and customer support team, owning workload, queue health, and recurring issues
  • Bridges the gap between fast-moving sales teams and methodical engineering teams so work actually gets done
  • Identifies operational gaps across software systems and processes, bringing solutions with clear reasoning, not just observations
  • Collaborates closely with product, sales, and engineering leadership, including regular exposure to engineering standups
  • Prioritizes and coordinates cross-functional work without spreading the team too thin
  • Operates independently and proactively flags needs before they become problems
  • Works inside modern business and operations software platforms (tech-fluent role, not a developer position)

COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • Base salary $110,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience
  • Quarterly performance-based bonus pool, already budgeted and paid out company-wide
  • Full-time, direct-hire position, 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling
  • Hybrid schedule: onsite training period, transitioning to 1 day per week in-office
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Leadership team that has kept turnover remarkably low, fewer than 3 departures company-wide in over 6 years!

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, ideally within SaaS, technology, startup, or automotive/finance environments
  • Prior experience managing or building an operations function from scratch
  • Comfortable operating inside modern business and operations software platforms; technically fluent
  • Proven ability to identify process gaps and implement solutions independently, with minimal oversight
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in the automotive, title, or loan servicing space is a plus

This is a hybrid position and is not eligible for fully remote work. Candidates must be able to work onsite in the Dallas, TX area as required. This employer does not offer visa sponsorship for this role; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
