Senior Operations Manager

Location: Garland / Dallas, TX

Schedule: Hybrid – onsite during initial training, then approximately 1 day per week in Garland

Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 + Quarterly Bonus

Industry: Software / SaaS / Automotive Technology

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, Series A software company that is transforming how financial and operational transactions move across the automotive ecosystem. With significant growth underway, the organization is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations and help build the infrastructure needed for its next stage of scale.

This is not a traditional corporate operations role. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment—someone versatile enough to jump between people, processes, customers, software, and business problems without waiting for a playbook.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader and problem solver who can quickly identify what isn't working, determine why, and put a scalable solution in place. You’ll work closely with executive leadership while serving as a critical bridge between Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Product, and Engineering.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and continuously improve the company’s day-to-day operational functions.
  • Lead and develop the customer support/operations team, providing direction, accountability, and prioritization.
  • Monitor support volume, workload, customer issues, and recurring operational challenges.
  • Identify gaps between existing software systems and operational processes and develop practical solutions.
  • Build scalable processes, workflows, and operating procedures as the company grows.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate business and customer needs into actionable priorities.
  • Serve as a bridge between fast-moving commercial teams and more technical, process-driven teams.
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, improve performance, and support business decisions.
  • Look for opportunities to automate repetitive work and solve problems at the root, rather than continually relying on manual workarounds.
  • Proactively identify resource, staffing, process, and technology needs before they become bottlenecks.
  • Take ownership of initiatives from problem identification through implementation.
  • Help build the operational foundation for a rapidly scaling organization.

The role is designed to operate with significant independence; leadership wants someone who can recognize what needs to happen, communicate the reasoning behind it, and execute without constant oversight.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive operations experience, ideally with leadership or management responsibility.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within a software, SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven organization.
  • Comfortable working within software platforms and communicating with technical teams—you don't need to be a developer, but you should be technologically fluent.
  • A versatile background with the ability to move between strategic initiatives and hands-on execution.
  • Proven ability to lead people, establish accountability, and earn the trust of a team.
  • Strong process-improvement mindset with an ability to simplify, automate, and scale.
  • Highly proactive and comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritize competing initiatives without losing sight of execution.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where roles evolve quickly and everyone wears multiple hats.

Highly Preferred

  • Experience within the automotive industry, particularly automotive technology, dealerships, lending, vehicle titles, lien processing, loan payoff, or related operations.
  • Experience building or scaling an operations function in a 0-to-1 or early-stage environment.
  • Previous experience partnering closely with software engineering or product teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

The strongest profile would combine SaaS/software + startup operations + automotive industry experience, although automotive experience is preferred rather than an absolute requirement.

Who Will Thrive Here

You’ll likely love this opportunity if you're the person who naturally asks:

“Why are we doing it this way, and how can we make it better?”

You’re comfortable getting into the weeds when necessary, but you also know when to delegate. You don't need a highly structured environment or constant direction. You're energized by building structure where it doesn't exist yet.

Most importantly, you're a doer and a leader. You can rally a team, work effectively with executives, communicate with engineers, understand customer problems, and then turn all of that information into action.

The culture is fast-moving, data-driven, solution-oriented, and intentionally low on micromanagement. The organization is entering an aggressive growth stage following its Series A funding and wants this person to have the opportunity to build the operations function around them.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $100,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Quarterly performance bonus
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible work environment and hours
  • Hybrid schedule – after initial training, typically 1 day per week onsite in Garland
  • Significant visibility with executive leadership
  • Opportunity to build and shape the operations function
  • Long-term advancement potential as the organization scales

Eligible employees can participate in benefits beginning the first of the month following their start date. The company currently contributes 50% toward employee-only premiums for its basic medical plan and 50% toward employee-only dental and vision premiums. A self-directed 401(k) is also available.

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a company at the point where startup agility is turning into meaningful scale. You won't inherit a rigid corporate structure—you'll have the opportunity to help create the structure.

For someone who enjoys solving problems, leading people, improving systems, and building something from the ground up, this role offers a high level of ownership, executive exposure, and long-term growth potential.

We look forward to hearing from you!
