Superintendent – Federal Construction

Rapid City, SD | Employee-Owned Federal/DOD Construction Contractor

A rapidly growing, employee-owned federal construction contractor is seeking a Superintendent to lead a ground-up Federal Construction project (~$54M) in Rapid City, SD. This is a client-facing role for a solution-driven leader who maintains a strong onsite presence and a healthy relationship with the Corps.

Responsibilities

Lead the project from mobilization through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Carpenters, and Laborers; manage and hold subcontractors accountable. Oversee scheduling, budgets, and cost control. Handle RFIs, change orders, QC, daily documentation, as-builts, permits, inspections, site logistics, and commissioning. Serve as primary onsite contact with USACE.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years as Superintendent or equivalent; leadership required
• Federal construction experience required
• Managed projects $40M+ (ideally $50–100M+), including a complete ground-up build
• Able to meet Corps requirements even under other federal/military agencies
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license
• OSHA 10; QCQM certification (federal)
• Proficient in Primavera P6, RMS, MS Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
• Must be US Citizen

OSHA 30 | First Aid/CPR/AED | General contractor background | Bilingual (Spanish) | Machinery operation certifications
