Mechanical Estimator

💰 $100,000 - $110,000 + Profit Sharing + ESOP Ownership

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join a growing preconstruction team in Louisville, Kentucky. This opportunity offers the stability of an established employee-owned organization combined with a collaborative, team-oriented culture. This role is ideal for an estimator with experience in mechanical piping and wet-side systems who wants to contribute to projects ranging from $100K to $45M while working alongside experienced industry professionals

What You'll Do:

• Preparing accurate estimates for commercial mechanical piping projects
• Performing quantity takeoffs and material calculations
• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Managing multiple bids simultaneously, typically 2-3 active estimates
• Participating in pre-bid site visits as needed
• Collaborating closely with project teams throughout the estimating process
• Identifying scope gaps, risks, and opportunities during the bidding process
• Ensuring detailed specification reviews to support accurate project pricing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience
• Experience estimating commercial mechanical piping or wet-side HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience performing quantity takeo
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Compensation

• Competitive salary: $100,000 - $110,000
