Project Manager – Commercial Mechanical Construction

Job Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial mechanical construction projects, from project kickoff through closeout. You'll oversee budgets, schedules, client relationships, subcontractors, documentation, and financial performance while ensuring successful project execution. Projects are typically large-scale commercial developments ranging from approximately $10M-$15M+, with most job sites located within a few hours of Nashville.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from start to finish
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Monitor project budgets and financial performance
• Coordinate subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Lead client communications and project meetings
• Manage RFIs, submittals, buyouts, and closeouts
• Oversee project documentation and correspondence
• Coordinate BIM/CAD/3D modeling workflows
• Track project commitments, timelines, and deliverables
• Work closely with field operations and ownership teams
• Participate in weekly project review meetings
• Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers when applicable
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably

Must-Have Experience:

• 3-5 years of Project Management experience in commercial construction
• Experience managing commercial construction projects through the full project lifecycle
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and client management skills
• Experience handling: RFIs and Submittals, Buyouts and Closeouts, Financial tracking, Project documentation
• Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000+
• Annual discretionary bonus typically ranging from 5-10%+
