Engineering Manager (Camera & Video Systems)

Our client is a privately held aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer specializing in ruggedized camera, recorder, and video system technologies used in military, aerospace, and other highly regulated applications. With a collaborative, hands-on culture and a flat organizational structure, the company is seeking a technical Engineering Manager to lead a small multidisciplinary engineering team while remaining actively involved in product development and problem solving.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and production of ruggedized hardware products from concept through production.
• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team while remaining hands-on technically.
• Oversee product lifecycle activities including NPI, sustaining engineering, design reviews, validation, and production support.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Drive project schedules, technical priorities, and engineering resources while supporting complex hardware and manufacturing issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
• Hands-on experience leading complex hardware product development throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Strong background in hardware with exposure to embedded systems and manufacturing in a regulated industry.
• U.S. Citizenship required; aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated industry experience is highly preferred.
