Project Manager - Construction Development & Ownerโ€™s Representative

๐Ÿ“ Location: Southern California

๐Ÿ  Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote with Travel (1โ€“2 trips per month)

๐Ÿ’ฐ Compensation: $85,000 โ€“ $115,000 annually

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join a growing construction and development consulting team that serves national hospitality, restaurant, and retail brands across the United States. This position offers the opportunity to work on projects throughout the entire development lifecycle - from site investigation and due diligence through construction and project closeout. The ideal candidate comes from a commercial General Contractor (GC) environment, has strong project engineering or project coordination experience, and is ready to grow into a full Project Management role.

Must-Have Experience:

  • 3โ€“5 years of commercial construction project experience.
  • Background with a General Contractor (GC) as: Project Engineer or Project Coordinator with strong project ownership experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong document control experience, including: RFIs, Submittals, Change orders, Schedule management.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents and coordinating project stakeholders.
  • Experience with Procore.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Project Management & Client Coordination:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously throughout the development and construction lifecycle.
  • Oversee approximately 20 active projects at various stages, including due diligence, entitlement, design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate technical construction updates into clear, client-friendly communication.
  • Support project budget tracking, cost management, and change order reviews.

Scheduling & Document Control:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
  • Identify schedule risks and proactively communicate delays or conflicts.
  • Manage submittal logs, RFI logs, change order documentation, and project records.

Construction & Technical Coordination:

  • Review construction drawings and coordinate with architects and engineers.
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues, particularly related to: MEP systems, Plumbing coordination, Kitchen layouts, Restaurant tenant improvements, Participate in project meetings and construction progress reviews.
  • Conduct periodic field visits.
