Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Construction

We're partnering with a well-established commercial electrical contractor seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from award through closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, building strong relationships with customers and project teams, while also owning the financial performance of their projects.

This is not a desk-only project management role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys collaborating with field personnel, and takes pride in delivering profitable, high-quality projects.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial electrical construction projects from award through closeout.
• Oversee projects typically ranging from $3M-$10M.
• Own project budgets, forecasting, estimate-to-complete reporting, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Coordinate project schedules, procurement, documentation, and reporting.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to support field operations and ensure project success.
• Work closely with Project Accountants to maintain financial accuracy.
• Participate in weekly project meetings, milestone reviews, and monthly financial reviews.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years of Project Management experience within commercial electrical construction.
• Experience independently managing projects from start to finish.
• Proven success managing projects valued between approximately $3M-$10M.
• Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, change orders, and cost control.
• Experience working directly with General Contractors, owners, vendors, and field personnel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with established SOPs and financial accountability.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Preferred Experience

• Industrial or manufacturing facility projects.
• Automotive manufacturing projects.
• Experience mentoring junior project staff.
• Background with established commercial electrical contractors.
• Familiarity with structured project management processes and financial reporting.
