Welding/Steel Fabrication Shop Lead| Fort Myers, FL

We're looking for a hands-on Structural Steel Fabrication Shop Lead to oversee daily shop operations, lead a skilled fabrication team, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

What You'll Do

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a structural steel fabrication shop
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of welders and fabricators
• Keep production on schedule while maintaining quality standards
• Review fabrication drawings and ensure accurate execution
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and provide hands-on support when needed
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and suppliers
• Oversee workflow, manpower, and shop equipment utilization
• Ensure all fabricated steel meets specifications before shipment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on welding experience
• 3-5 years leading in a fab/manufacturing shop
• Experience managing structural steel fabrication operations
• Strong understanding of welding procedures and fabrication processes
• Ability to read structural drawings and solve technical issues
• Spanish bilingual preferred
• Engineering degree preferred
• Experience with fabrication management software such as PowerFab is a plus
