A highly respected, family-owned and operated luxury residential general contractor in Pacific Palisades is seeking a Construction Accountant to join their close-knit team. For more than three decades, the company has built exceptional custom homes throughout Los Angeles, managing projects ranging from $3M to $10M+ that typically span one to three years.

What You'll Do
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices
- Handle contract administration and maintain project documentation
- Prepare and submit bank draw packages
- Manage insurance reporting requirements
- Process weekly hourly payroll
- Perform job costing and cost tracking for multiple custom home projects
- Manage lien waivers and subcontractor compliance documentation
- Maintain subcontractor agreements and W-9s
- Prepare annual 1099s
- Support approximately 12 active luxury residential projects simultaneously
- Work on custom homes ranging from approximately 3,000 square feet and $3.2M to a current 15,000-square-foot estate in Brentwood valued at $10M
- Support projects that typically span one to three years
- Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and project tracking
- Assist with the company's transition to more integrated construction accounting software to streamline banking, bookkeeping, and reporting processes
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of construction accounting experience
- Experience within residential, commercial, or multifamily construction environments
- Strong job costing and project cost tracking experience
- Experience managing lien waivers and subcontractor documentation
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Experience with real estate or construction accounting software in addition to QuickBooks is a plus
- Experience with subcontractor agreements, W-9s, and 1099 preparation
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
