Engineering Project Manager
Location: Greater St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
Overview
An established, growth-focused manufacturing organization is seeking a Project Manager to lead customer programs from initial quote through successful production launch and ongoing delivery. This is a highly visible role where you'll collaborate with leadership, sales, engineering, production, quality, and accounting to ensure projects are delivered on time, meet customer expectations, and remain profitable.
Responsibilities
- Own manufacturing and design projects from quotation through production launch and ongoing manufacturing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project timelines, priorities, deliverables, and customer expectations.
- Partner with Sales on estimating, quoting, and pricing strategies.
- Review product costing, margins, and profitability to maximize business performance.
- Coordinate new product introductions and production launches.
- Develop and review Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure production teams have clear manufacturing requirements before launch.
- Collaborate daily with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Accounting to keep projects on schedule.
- Review blueprints, specifications, quality requirements, and revision changes before production begins.
- Maintain project documentation, pricing history, engineering revisions, and customer records.
- Balance customer satisfaction with operational efficiency and company profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- 2–5 years of Project Management or Program Management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing customer projects from quote through production.
- Experience with estimating, pricing, costing, margins, and profitability analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and part specifications.
- Strong spreadsheet and computer skills with confidence working with numbers and data.
- Ability to successfully collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Accounting.
- CAD experience.
- Experience with fabricated metal products, tubular steel components, tube fabrication, welding, or welded assemblies.
Pay range and compensation package
- Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000
- Stable, full-time direct hire opportunity
- First shift schedule, Monday-Friday
