Day to Day Responsibilities:
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you'll spend the majority of your time on the production floor partnering with operations and maintenance to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause solutions
- Improve workflow, productivity, and plant efficiency
- Support equipment setup and manufacturing operations
- Partner closely with production and maintenance teams
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality
- Maintain manufacturing documentation and process standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to support manufacturing goals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related discipline)
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Process improvement and continuous improvement experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Comfortable working extensively on the manufacturing floor
Preferred Experience:
- Metal fabrication
- Welding or welded assemblies
- CAD software
- Fixture and tooling design
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
- Automated or robotic welding
- High-volume manufacturing environments
The Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for someone who enjoys being where the action is. This is not a design-focused engineering role, it's for an engineer who likes solving problems in real time, working alongside production teams, and continuously improving manufacturing operations.
Schedule:
Engineering primarily works first shift, typically starting between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM (including a one-hour lunch). This is a fully onsite position.
