Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil / Water & Wastewater Construction
Location: Roanoke, VA (Preferred) | Richmond, VA | Harrisonburg, VA

We're partnering with a highly respected specialty construction contractor with more than 650 employees and over $200M in annual revenue. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator to join their team and help lead the pursuit of complex industrial, mechanical, and water/wastewater construction projects throughout Virginia.
Day to Day:
- Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects
- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work
- Perform material and labor takeoffs from engineering drawings
- Develop complete project pricing, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, and profit
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams on project pursuits
- Manage multiple bids while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

- Average project size is approximately $10M, with projects typically lasting 12–18 months.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Strong experience preparing construction estimates and bid packages
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience performing detailed takeoffs and cost analysis
- Proficiency with:
- Procore
- Accubid
- Trimble
- Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Water/Wastewater construction experience
- Industrial or mechanical construction estimating experience
- Prior field construction experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Existing subcontractor relationships within Virginia
Compensation & Benefits:
- $90,000 - $120,000 base salary
- Performance and profitability bonus opportunities (typically 10%-20%)
