Mechanical Design Engineer

📍 Spokane County, WA (100% Onsite)

💰 $80,000 - $120,000 Base Salary

We're partnering with a leading manufacturer of premium custom cabinetry seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on high-end residential products used in luxury homes across the country. You'll play a key role in designing, modifying, and improving custom cabinetry products while collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality, functionality, and manufacturability.

Unlike many engineering roles that focus solely on equipment or process design, this position allows you to see your work come to life through tangible, customer-facing products. You'll gain deep expertise in product design, materials, construction methods, and manufacturing processes while building a long-term career with a stable, family-owned organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD

• Support the design and development of custom cabinetry products

• Update designs based on customer specifications and manufacturing requirements

• Maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and drawing packages

• Partner with production teams to ensure products are manufacturable and meet quality standards

• Learn product lines, materials, and manufacturing processes in depth

• Contribute to future product improvements and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of Mechanical Design, Product Design, or Manufacturing Engineering experience

• AutoCAD experience with the ability to create and modify drawings from scratch

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Experience working within a manufacturing environment

• Stable work history and interest in building a long-term career

• Ideal candidates will have experience designing highly configurable products that balance aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and customer requirements. Experience supporting custom, made-to-order products is highly preferred.
