ESTIMATOR – MECHANICAL AND WATER/WASTEWATER CONSTRUCTION
Location: Onsite; all projects assigned will be within 50miles of either Richmond, Roanoke or Harrisonburg, VA (whichever is closest to you)
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + 10-20% Bonus
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing construction team specializing in industrial, commercial, and water/wastewater projects. This position plays a critical role in securing and launching high-value projects by developing accurate, competitive estimates and collaborating closely with operations and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements
- Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates
- Perform material and labor takeoffs from engineering drawings and specifications
- Analyze labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, overhead, and profit costs
- Support project selection and bidding strategy decisions
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project walkthroughs
- Develop estimates for water/wastewater facilities, process plants, pump stations, lift stations, and commercial construction projects
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Previous field construction experience
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction estimating
- Experience with Procore, Accubid, Trimble, and Microsoft Office
- Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred, but equivalent field experience will be considered
- Water/wastewater project experience is highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000 - $120,000 base salary
- Performance bonus potential of 10%–20%
