Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop a personal lines book of business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and agency-provided lead opportunities
- Learn and sell personal insurance products including homeowners, auto, renters, umbrella, and related coverage
- Conduct needs assessments with prospective clients to identify appropriate insurance solutions
- Generate new business through phone outreach, relationship building, community involvement, and networking activities
- Utilize agency-generated leads and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base
- Prepare applications and insurance submissions while ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Present insurance options and recommendations to prospective clients in a professional and consultative manner
- Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress within the CRM system
- Participate in a comprehensive one-year sales training and mentorship program designed to accelerate industry knowledge and sales effectiveness
- Collaborate with internal account management teams to ensure a smooth transition once business is bound
- Consistently work toward individual production goals and business development objectives
- Attend in-office meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive team environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, competitive, and driven individual with a hunter mentality and desire to succeed in a sales-focused environment
- Comfortable making outbound calls, networking, and proactively generating new business opportunities
- Coachable attitude with a willingness to learn insurance products, sales techniques, and industry best practices
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to goals and performance expectations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previous sales experience is preferred but not required
- Property & Casualty License is not required at the start; company support will be provided to obtain licensing
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
- Professional demeanor and ability to build trust with clients
- Demonstrated employment stability and commitment to long-term career growth
