Preconstruction Coordinator

$85,000 - $115,000 Base Salary

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Preconstruction Coordinator to support business development, bidding, and project pursuit efforts for a growing construction organization specializing in sports facilities, site development, landscape construction, irrigation systems, synthetic turf, and specialty outdoor construction projects.

This role serves as a critical link between estimating, operations, project management, and leadership teams, helping identify opportunities, manage bid processes, coordinate proposals, and support company growth initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and has a strong understanding of construction documentation and bidding processes.

What You'll Be Do

Preconstruction & Bid Coordination

  • Manage bid opportunities from solicitation through final submission.
  • Review plans, specifications, addenda, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with estimators, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to gather pricing and scope information
  • Prepare proposal packages, qualification statements, compliance documents, and bid forms
  • Maintain bid calendars, deadlines, and project pursuit schedules
  • Ensure accurate and timely bid submissions
  • Track bid results and maintain historical project records

Business Development Support

  • Research and identify upcoming project opportunities through bid boards, municipal postings, industry networks, and market research
  • Maintain CRM systems and project tracking databases
  • Coordinate client outreach and follow-up efforts
  • Support leadership with strategic growth initiatives and market expansion
  • Assist with presentations, project portfolios, and marketing materials
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, networking events, and industry functions as needed

Project Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Organize project files, contracts, plans, specifications, and submittals
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor databases
  • Assist with procurement logs, schedules, and startup documentation
  • Coordinate communication between estimating, operations, project management, and executive leadership
  • Support weekly pursuit and planning meetings to ensure deadlines stay on track

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction bidding, estimating support, project coordination, construction administration, or business development
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and bid processes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam
