Construction Accounting Manager 💼🏗️

A well-established, privately owned steel construction company with approximately $15M in annual revenue is looking for an experienced Construction Accounting Manager to join their close-knit team in Raleigh, NC.

This is a highly visible role where you’ll own the full construction accounting and billing process for multiple active projects while working directly with Project Managers and company leadership. If you thrive in construction accounting and understand AIA billing inside and out, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Own 📋

• Manage all AIA, progress, contract, customer, and change order billing
• Track percent complete billing, contract values, billing schedules, and project change orders
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers to maintain accurate project billing across approximately 30 open projects
• Manage billing for 5–8 actively billing projects monthly, including large, detailed invoices with extensive backup documentation
• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, banking administration, and state tax filings
• Maintain accounting files, project spreadsheets, and invoice documentation
• Process payroll for a small team of 8 employees
• Support year-end close, CPA review preparation, and bonding documentation
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop Pro and MS Suite

What They’re Looking For ✅

• 3+ years of construction accounting experience for a small company
• Strong experience with: AIA and progress billing, POC billing, change orders, project billing, AP/AR, State Tax filings
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Excel
