Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support multiple project managers in managing commercial electrical construction projects. This role involves supporting the full project lifecycle with responsibilities including documentation, communication, and project administration primarily using Procore and Excel. This is a key supporting role within a company handling 30-40 active projects ranging in duration from days to multiple years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist multiple project managers by organizing and maintaining project documentation within Procore
- Manage change orders and follow up on submittals
- Print and distribute project drawings as needed
- Set up new jobs and maintain project files in Procore
- Coordinate subcontractor communications and support project schedules
- Provide general administrative support to the project management team
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years in commercial construction with demonstrated Assistant Project Manager experience
- Proven ability to support multiple PMs simultaneously
- Proficiency with Procore and Excel required; familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Suite preferred
- Electrical construction experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
