Our client, a highly successful privately owned construction company with approximately $250M in annual revenue, is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to oversee financial performance across multiple active construction projects.

This is a NEW high-visibility role partnering closely with leadership, operations, and project teams to help drive projects to successful financial outcomes in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

🔎 What You’ll Do

• Oversee cost control and financial performance across 25–40 active projects
• Monitor budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and profitability
• Analyze cost variances, trends, and overall project financial performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and proactive cost management efforts
• Track financial impacts related to change orders, scope changes, delays, and claims
• Prepare executive-level reporting and financial summaries
• Conduct project and field-level audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Partner closely with project managers, operations, estimating, and leadership teams
• Help standardize reporting, cost tracking, and financial processes across projects
• Travel to job sites 5-7 days PER month within LA, TX, and surrounding states.

✅ What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in construction cost control, project accounting, or construction finance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required!
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
• Experience managing financial performance across multiple active projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost performance metrics
• Procore experience is required
