About the Company

Join a high-performance general contractor - design + build team delivering complex infrastructure projects.

About the Role

This is not a siloed PM role. You’ll own projects end-to-end—from early-stage through execution and closeout—inside a fully integrated design-build model. You’ll lead technically complex retrofit and infrastructure projects (typically $1M–$10M) across HVAC systems, energy efficiency upgrades, renewable integrations, and building modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle project delivery: preconstruction, estimating, execution, and closeout
  • Lead 1 primary project (with potential support on 1–2 smaller projects)
  • Develop budgets, scopes, and timelines with internal engineering + field teams
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders without traditional RFI delays
  • Drive project profitability, scheduling, and client satisfaction
  • Contribute to preconstruction efforts including bid solicitation and scope alignment
  • Use tools like Premier, Asana, and Bluebeam to manage workflows and communication
  • Collaborate directly with operations leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Travel ~10–15% (1–2 short trips/month depending on project needs)

Qualifications

  • Experience with a mid-to-large General Contractor (GC)
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager (mid-size GC) OR 2+ years PM / 8+ years total with a large GC
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects ($1M–$10M+)
  • Exposure to preconstruction / estimating / subcontractor bidding processes
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort with construction software tools
  • Ability to independently lead projects with minimal oversight
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
  • PMP or other PM certifications
  • Experience with energy systems, mechanical/HVAC, or retrofit projects
  • Not a Fit: Subcontractor-only backgrounds without GC-level project ownership

Pay range and compensation package

  • Base Salary: $100K–$130K
  • Bonus: Strong performance-based bonus (historically 10–25%)
  • Schedule: Flexible hybrid model (office presence expected for key meetings)
  • Hours: Outcome-driven (typically 8–5)

Benefits

  • Day 1 healthcare coverage (80% employer-paid across plans)
  • Dental + vision
  • 401(k) with up to 4% match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 12 paid holidays

Equal Opportunity Statement

Team environment values ownership, initiative, and integrity. Ideal for builders who want autonomy, impact, and faster career growth.

Interview process

  • Phone screen
  • Leadership interview
  • Final team discussion

Important: This is a hybrid role (not fully remote). Candidates must be able to work on site/hybrid. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
