Senior Project Manager – Restaurant & Retail Development

Remote - Southern California

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee restaurant and retail development projects from due diligence through construction closeout across multiple client portfolios nationwide.

This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial construction and restaurant development experience who enjoys managing high-volume project pipelines, building long-term client relationships, and operating in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of restaurant and retail development projects from site investigation through construction closeout
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously across various phases including due diligence, permitting, construction, and turnover
• Serve as the primary client contact for active project portfolios and maintain strong ongoing relationships
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal construction teams to ensure project success
• Manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting
• Utilize Procore, Smartsheet, and scheduling tools to maintain project visibility and organization
• Collaborate closely with field Construction Managers to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Assist with process improvements and operational visibility as project management systems continue to evolve
• Review estimates, understand cost codes, and assist with change order generation and budget tracking
• Support multi-location restaurant and retail rollouts while maintaining consistency across client programs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction or development project management experience
• Strong restaurant, retail, or hospitality development experience required
• Experience managing projects from due diligence through construction closeout
• Background working for a General Contractor, Owner’s Representative, Construction Management, or Development Consulting firm
• Proficiency with Procore and project scheduling tools
• Experience managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously
• Strong communication and client-facing relationship management skills
• Fast casual restaurant or multi-unit rollout experience highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• PMP certification is a plus
• Estimating or change order experience is a plus
