I’m working with a well-established life insurance company in TULSA, OK seeking an Operations Officer to oversee internal operations, compliance, and workflow efficiency across the organization’s domestic and international business lines.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys owning multiple moving parts across operations, compliance, systems, and process improvement. It’s a strong fit for a life insurance professional who can think strategically while staying hands-on, lead cross-functional teams, and bring structure to a growing organization. The right person will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, partnering with leadership, and helping scale both domestic and international operations with a high standard of execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day insurance operations, including policy issuance, claims processing, premium collections, and administration
  • Develop and improve operational workflows, procedures, and internal processes
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international insurance regulations
  • Coordinate with finance, marketing, reinsurance, and underwriting teams to support product launches and reporting
  • Work with IT and analytics teams to improve systems, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor operational risks and participate in audits and compliance reviews
  • Prepare performance reports and operational metrics for leadership and regulators
  • Manage relationships with international brokers, administrators, and reinsurance partners
  • Lead and develop operational staff while fostering accountability and continuous improvement

Ideal Background

  • 7–10+ years of experience in life insurance operations or administration
  • Strong knowledge of policy administration, compliance frameworks, and insurance operations
  • Experience with policy administration systems and reinsurance platforms
  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and process improvements
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
