🌟 Staff Accountant

📍 Location: Elsa, TX (Onsite to start → Hybrid flexibility)

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible)

💰 Compensation: $80,000–$95,000 DOE + annual bonus potential

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of Accounts Receivable (primary focus), including invoicing and reporting
• Support full-cycle accounting: GL maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end closing
• Assist with WIP schedules (over/under billing)
• Perform cost accounting (labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment)
• Assist with Accounts Payable as needed
• Support weekly payroll processing (~40 employees; hourly + salary)
• Prepare workers’ comp and unemployment reports
• Run reports for sales tax, fixed assets, and fuel tax (outsourced for filing)
• Partner with project managers and operations teams
• AIA / progress billing

✅ What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• 3+ years of accounting experience PREFERABLY in the Construction industry
• Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience
• Full-cycle accounting knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)

Nice to Have:

• Construction accounting experience (highly preferred)
• Familiarity with WIP, job costing, and AIA billing
• AR and reporting experience
• Comfortable working cross-functionally
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• CPA
