Insurance Consultant / Producer (Life, Disability & Executive Benefits)

📍 San Rafael, CA (Onsite → Hybrid or Remote Flexibility post training)

A growing, relationship-driven insurance brokerage is seeking an Insurance Consultant / Producer to join their expanding team. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a consultative, client-first environment and is motivated to build a long-term book of business with significant earning potential.

This is not a transactional sales role — it’s a “slow burn” advisory position focused on developing relationships, building trust, and driving business through consistent, strategic outreach.

Overview

  • Base salary up to $100K + uncapped commission (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Strong long-term earning potential — $300K–$400K+ once fully ramped
  • Structured ramp-up with training, mentorship, and lead support
  • Clear path from base + commission to higher commission over time

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and referral partners
  • Conduct consultative meetings (primarily via Zoom) to assess needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Focus on life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term care planning
  • Drive business development activity — prospecting, networking, and pipeline management
  • Leverage a large internal book of leads while actively generating new opportunities
  • Participate in joint meetings and mentorship early on, transitioning into full ownership of client relationships
  • Provide ongoing service and strategic guidance to clients

What You Bring

  • Experience in life insurance, disability insurance, or financial services
  • Active Life & Health insurance license
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter mindset with comfort in business development
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and a growing pipeline
  • Experience with CRM systems and structured sales processes

Nice to Have

  • Background from another mutual or advisory firms
  • Exposure to high-net-worth or executive clients
  • Securities licenses (Series 6/63) or willingness to obtain
