Position Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to lead operations at our facility. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive operational excellence while ensuring performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
The Plant Manager will oversee daily production, lead cross-functional teams, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage day-to-day plant operations and production teams
- Oversee a team of 8–10 direct reports across production, quality, engineering, scheduling, and purchasing
- Maintain full P&L ownership and accountability
- Ensure alignment of production schedules with labor and equipment capacity
- Monitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Partner cross-functionally to maintain production flow and meet customer demand
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance across all shifts
- Conduct performance evaluations and foster a culture of accountability and engagement
- Identify root causes of production issues and implement sustainable solutions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready facility
Qualifications
- 10+ years of manufacturing management experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role with P&L responsibility
- Proven experience leading multi-shift operations
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- ERP system experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: up to $180,000
- Bonus: 20% performance-based
