Manufacturing Engineer

100% On-site Vandalia, IL *RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE ~$10K-$15K*

$110,000 – $130,000

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation in Vandalia, IL. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the production floor, enjoys solving real-time problems, and wants to directly impact how products are made.

You will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring consistent product quality. This is a highly visible position where your work will directly influence operations and performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Optimize manufacturing workflows for safety, quality, and output
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support daily operations
  • Analyze data to drive fact-based decisions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (FMEAs, control plans, work instructions)
  • Support new equipment implementation and process validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and operations
  • Implement error-proofing solutions and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Background in plastics, rubber, or molding environments preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Exposure to CNC/PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Omron is a plus)
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced production environment
