About the Opportunity

A growing life insurance organization is seeking an AVP, Marketing & Distribution to help drive strategic growth, strengthen agent relationships, and support the development and launch of insurance products. This role works closely with executive leadership and plays a key role in connecting marketing strategy with agent distribution, product development, and shareholder communications.

This is a highly visible leadership position within a lean, entrepreneurial organization, where leaders wear multiple hats and collaborate across departments to support continued expansion in domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Agent & Distribution Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents, field leaders, and distribution partners.
  • Support agent recruitment, retention, and communication initiatives.
  • Collaborate with agent advisory groups to strengthen engagement and feedback channels.

Marketing Strategy & Performance

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute marketing initiatives that support distribution growth.
  • Track campaign performance, marketing KPIs, and expenses, providing regular insights to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance marketing effectiveness and distribution reach.

Product Development & Launch Support

  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to support the development and launch of new life insurance products.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new offerings.

Shareholder & Investor Communications

  • Support communications and presentations for a large shareholder base.
  • Assist with investor updates and respond to shareholder inquiries.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with operations, compliance, underwriting, and finance teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic discussions around growth, product development, and distribution strategy.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in the life insurance industry
  • Background in insurance marketing, distribution, product support, or operations
  • Experience working with independent agents, broker-dealers, or financial advisors
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products and distribution models
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into strategic action
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred
