About the Opportunity
A growing life insurance organization is seeking an AVP, Marketing & Distribution to help drive strategic growth, strengthen agent relationships, and support the development and launch of insurance products. This role works closely with executive leadership and plays a key role in connecting marketing strategy with agent distribution, product development, and shareholder communications.
This is a highly visible leadership position within a lean, entrepreneurial organization, where leaders wear multiple hats and collaborate across departments to support continued expansion in domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Agent & Distribution Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents, field leaders, and distribution partners.
- Support agent recruitment, retention, and communication initiatives.
- Collaborate with agent advisory groups to strengthen engagement and feedback channels.
Marketing Strategy & Performance
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute marketing initiatives that support distribution growth.
- Track campaign performance, marketing KPIs, and expenses, providing regular insights to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance marketing effectiveness and distribution reach.
Product Development & Launch Support
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to support the development and launch of new life insurance products.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new offerings.
Shareholder & Investor Communications
- Support communications and presentations for a large shareholder base.
- Assist with investor updates and respond to shareholder inquiries.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with operations, compliance, underwriting, and finance teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
- Participate in strategic discussions around growth, product development, and distribution strategy.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in the life insurance industry
- Background in insurance marketing, distribution, product support, or operations
- Experience working with independent agents, broker-dealers, or financial advisors
- Strong understanding of life insurance products and distribution models
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate insights into strategic action
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred
