Designer – Commercial Interior Design

Salary: Up to $75,000

Location: Columbia, SC (Please note: This position is 100% onsite in Columbia, SC. Candidates must be able to work in-office; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.)

Our client is seeking a well-rounded and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join their growing team in Columbia, SC. This role supports a collaborative design environment within the commercial interior design and office furniture industry, working closely with sales teams to develop functional and visually compelling workspace solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams on multiple commercial design projects simultaneously
• Conduct site visits to take measurements and assist with space planning
• Develop design packages and layouts to help clients visualize furniture configurations and workspace options
• Perform detailed specification checks and auditing to ensure project accuracy and quality
• Support the design process from concept through final project delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required
• Previous commercial design experience required
• Experience with CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) and CAD
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary up to $75,000 depending on experience
