A well-established, family-owned textile manufacturer with over $500M in revenue is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Sourcing to lead global sourcing initiatives and partner directly with executive leadership. This is a high-impact role that will influence cost structure, supplier relationships, and overall supply chain strategy across multiple plants.

This is not a transactional purchasing role. We are seeking a senior-level sourcing professional with deep global textile sourcing expertise, particularly managing overseas factory relationships in China and India.

Position Overview

The Director of Sourcing will develop and lead global sourcing strategy, manage key international supplier partnerships, and drive cost optimization initiatives. This individual will work directly with the President and executive team and will play a critical role in replacing institutional knowledge currently held by senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute global sourcing strategy across multiple facilities
• Manage direct relationships with overseas factories, particularly in China and India
• Negotiate vendor agreements and pricing contracts
• Drive cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives
• Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and risk
• Support multi-plant sourcing initiatives
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership on supply chain strategy
• Travel internationally as needed to maintain and strengthen supplier relationships

Qualifications

• 10+ years of TEXTILE global sourcing experience, preferably within textile or manufacturing environments
• Direct experience managing overseas factory relationships
• Strong background in vendor negotiations and cost optimization
• Experience developing and executing sourcing strategy
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• ERP/MRP systems experience (NetSuite exposure preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
