Commercial Electrical Estimator

Location: 100% On-site role in Nashville, TN (no hybrid or remote options)

A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join its Pre-Construction team in Nashville, TN. This organization specializes in large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects, including major healthcare facilities and data centers.

This is an onsite role offering long-term stability, a strong project pipeline, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value builds.

Position Overview

The Commercial Electrical Estimator will prepare comprehensive cost estimates from conceptual design through final bid submission. This individual will collaborate closely with design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable bids.

Projects are typically valued at $5M+ and range from several weeks to multi-year timelines.

Compensation

• Base salary up to $150,000 (depending on experience)
• Approximately 10% annual performance bonus
• Relocation assistance available

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction estimates from design documents and specifications
• Perform value engineering analysis and participate in pre-bid and scope review meetings
• Review subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and update estimating databases, including labor and material costs
• Finalize bids to ensure complete accuracy and competitiveness
• Manage 1–2 active estimates at a time (up to 5–6 depending on project size)
• Track and analyze bid results

Qualifications

• Previous commercial electrical estimating experience required
• Demonstrated experience estimating projects valued at $5M+
• Experience with Plan-Spec and Design-Build projects
• Healthcare (major hospitals) or Data Center project experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Accubid and LiveCount Takeoff preferred (or similar estimating software)
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Schedule

• Full-time, onsite in Nashville, TN
• Flexible start times (6:00am–3:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm)
