Job Title: Controller - Property Accounting
Location: Greater Tacoma, WA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

We are now seeking an experience Real Estate Accounting Controller. This is to backfill the former Controller who just stepped into a VP Level role!
Requirements:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Property management or real estate accounting experience required
Yardi Voyager experience required
Strong GAAP knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Key Responsibilities & Impact:
Lead and develop a team of 4–5 accounting professionals across a mix of in-office and remote staff
Own full-cycle property accounting for a large multifamily portfolio (80–90 properties and growing)
Drive GAAP-compliant financial reporting and oversee month, quarter, and year-end close
Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statement prep
Partner directly with property management teams and external stakeholders to support client deliverables
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and support portfolio performance analysis
Oversee external payroll vendor coordination, insurance, and tax reporting workflows
Support onboarding of new properties and continuous process improvement initiatives
Utilize Yardi Voyager and advanced Excel to maintain reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
Base salary: Approx. $110,000 – $130,000 (negotiable)
Discretionary annual performance bonus
