Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Construction Planner to support operations and field leadership across a diverse portfolio of public and commercial construction projects. This role is highly integrated with field teams and plays a critical part in project execution, sequencing, and overall planning strategy.
The ideal candidate comes from a General Contractor environment, has strong Microsoft Project expertise, and thrives in a hands-on, operations-driven setting with frequent interaction between office and jobsite teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Support approximately 15 Superintendents with planning, sequencing, and execution strategy
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to review schedule performance and progress
• Lead scheduling efforts across multiple active projects simultaneously
• Partner closely with Operations leadership on project planning and risk mitigation
• Support preconstruction efforts including bid and proposal planning
• Identify schedule risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies
• Serve as a planning resource and mentor for field teams
What We’re Looking For
• 5–10+ years of construction planning, scheduling, or project controls experience within a General Contractor environment
• Experience supporting multiple project types (public works, commercial, multi-family, education, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (required)
• Experience working closely with Superintendents and field teams
• Exposure to larger-scale projects ($50M+ preferred)
• Comfortable in a fully onsite, high-interaction environment
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
