A highly respected, family-run insurance firm is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager to lead a seasoned 10-person team and oversee relationships with 25–30 carriers.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in operations, enjoys managing complexity, and knows commercial insurance inside and out.

What You’ll Do:

✔ Lead and mentor a team of retail account managers & wholesale underwriters

✔ Oversee renewals, quotes, submissions & underwriting decisions

✔ Act as escalation point for complex deals

✔ Manage and strengthen 25–30 carrier relationships

✔ Improve workflows, formalize processes & drive operational consistency

✔ Maintain strong broker partnerships

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10+ years in commercial insurance

• 3–5+ years in leadership

• Strong underwriting & carrier relationship experience

• Operationally organized and detail-oriented

• Experience with multi-carrier or wholesale environments preferred

• P&C license a plus

• Mandarin fluency a bonus
