Electrical Estimator (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior)

A highly respected electrical construction contractor in Hartford County, CT is seeking Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Electrical Estimators to support continued growth across commercial and healthcare projects, including mission-critical hospital systems. This is a hybrid opportunity offering strong compensation, long-term stability, and clear advancement potential.

Position Overview

This role supports the estimating and preconstruction process for electrical construction projects. Candidates will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting bid submissions. Senior-level candidates will also provide leadership and oversight within the estimating team.

Jr to Mid- Level Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical takeoffs, detailed estimates, and bid documentation
  • Assist with pre-bid reviews, scope clarification, and bid submissions
  • Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Respond to RFIs and support preconstruction efforts
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and cost impacts
  • Conduct job site visits as needed to confirm scope, materials, and constructability
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up throughout the bid process

Senior-Level Responsibilities (as applicable):

  • Review and approve estimates prior to submission
  • Identify risk, scope gaps, and pricing exposure
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators
  • Support client, vendor, and subcontractor relationship management

Qualifications

  • Commercial electrical estimating experience - open to Industrial backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
  • Effective communication and follow-up skills
  • Experience with estimating software and Excel preferred

Compensation

  • Junior / Mid-Level Estimators: up to $120,000 (DOE)
  • Senior Estimators: Up to $175,000 (DOE)
  • Relocation assistance available if applicable
