About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Mitigation Project Manager to oversee restoration projects from initial loss assessment through completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment and enjoys managing multiple projects, coordinating crews, working with adjusters, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for customers impacted by property damage.

This is a remote-based role with local travel (generally within a 2-hour radius). You’ll have flexibility in your schedule, strong operational support, and the ability to make a direct impact as part of a growing restoration division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect losses and develop accurate scopes of work, timelines, and budgets for mitigation projects
  • Work directly with insurance adjusters and clients to align on scope, pricing, and expectations
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, profitability, and on-time delivery
  • Communicate scopes clearly to technicians and crew leaders; provide ongoing field support
  • Coordinate daily crew deployment and resource scheduling with the Project Coordinator
  • Prepare and submit change orders, supplements, and documentation as required
  • Monitor job costs, margins, and production efficiency; review profitability at project close
  • Oversee quality control and conduct final walkthroughs to ensure standards are met
  • Track equipment, materials, and job documentation accurately within internal systems
  • Assist with billing, collections, and weekly forecasting in collaboration with accounting
  • Lead, coach, and support mitigation staff while promoting accountability and safety
  • Enforce safety standards across all job sites and lead safety meetings as required
  • Participate in weekly operations and leadership meetings

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on mitigation/restoration experience (water, mold, fire preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of scoping losses, estimating, and working with insurance adjusters
  • Experience managing crews, equipment, and multiple active projects
  • Solid understanding of job costing, supplements, and change orders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal micromanagement

Preferred Certifications/Skills

  • IICRC certifications (Water, Mold, Fire preferred)
  • Familiarity with Xactimate, PSA/Proven Jobs, HubSpot, MICA or similar platforms
  • OSHA or other safety-related certifications a plus
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
