Sales Executive – Healthcare Folding Carton Packaging (Remote + Travel/Northeast preferred)

A rapidly growing custom packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Sales Executive with deep expertise in healthcare folding carton packaging to help expand its presence within regulated markets. This is a true hunter role designed for a senior-level sales professional who thrives on building new business, developing complex accounts, and selling value-driven packaging solutions into pharmaceutical and healthcare environments.

This role is remote and location-flexible, with preference for candidates based in the West, Midwest, or Northeast due to proximity to manufacturing facilities and key customer bases. Limited travel is required.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Driving new business growth within regulated healthcare markets, including pharmaceutical, OTC, nutraceutical, medical device, and related life sciences segments
  • Prospecting, targeting, and developing new healthcare accounts, while expanding opportunities within existing customer relationships
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through design collaboration, quoting, production coordination, and long-term account growth
  • Selling custom folding carton packaging solutions, including multi-part cartons, inserts, regulated labeling components, and compliance-driven designs
  • Attending trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed to support business development efforts
  • Building trusted advisor relationships by selling value, performance, and total cost optimization, not transactional pricing

What They’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct folding carton experience within healthcare packaging
  • Proven background selling into regulated environments, including pharmaceutical, Rx, OTC, nutraceutical, medical device, biotech, or biopharma
  • Demonstrated success as a hunter, with experience building territory revenue through cold outreach, targeted prospecting, and long-term relationship development
  • Strong understanding of healthcare packaging compliance, quality standards, and manufacturing considerations
  • Experience working with custom packaging solutions, not commodity products

Ideal Background

  • Experience selling for a folding carton manufacturer or high-end converter
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical and nutraceutical packaging programs, including cartons with inserts, labeling requirements, and regulated workflows
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to collaborate on packaging that enhances brand presentation while meeting compliance standards
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with executive leadership, operations, and technical teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $110,000–$120,000
  • Commission: 3% on revenue, with significant upside for high performers
  • Additional discretionary incentives
