About the Opportunity

A nationally recognized design/build geotechnical contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Georgia operations. This is a key leadership position focused on managing multiple deep foundation and drilled shaft projects within the transportation and utilities sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground construction and DOT work, with the ability to manage projects from bid through closeout while maintaining a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee 4–5 active projects ranging from $2M–$12M in value, with durations typically between 1.5 weeks and 1 month.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery including solicitation, bidding, estimation support, execution, and closeout.
  • Partner closely with business development and estimating teams to identify opportunities, bid strategically, and maintain profitability.
  • Direct and coordinate field operations, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical leadership on drilled shaft and deep foundation construction methods, including equipment selection, design coordination, and quality control.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, DOT representatives, and project stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze project financials, cost projections, and change orders to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Participate in developing preconstruction processes as part of a growing regional team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in geotechnical or heavy civil construction.
  • Proven track record managing drilled shaft or deep foundation projects.
  • Ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects with tight turnaround times.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, HeavyBid, and related construction management software.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Georgia (overnight stays as needed).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Experience managing DOT or utility infrastructure projects.
